Why we love Brad Pitt

Brad Pitt holds a special place in the heart of many women. Don’t get me wrong, they see him as one of the sexiest men alive and would love to be with him. In 2000, People’s magazine named him the Sexiest Man Alive after being named one of the top 25 sexiest stars in the film industry by Empire magazine. Brad’s journey to stardom was a mixture of good and challenging, and he didn’t have much exposure to acting as a kid. However, he took an interest in it during his high school days, hence, pursued a degree in journalism and advertising at the University of Missouri. Upon completing his degree, he left Missouri for Los Angeles, at a time the film industry was drawing many talents from different parts of the world. His initial stay there was rough, as he had to shuttle between doing odd jobs and taking acting lessons to make ends meet.

By 1987, he starred in his first films, although his roles were uncredited. He did get a part in Another World, an NBC soap opera, and over the next few months, he snagged up appearances in several TV series, including Growing Pains, Dallas, and 21 Jump Street. His acting profile began to grow from then on, and by 1991, he had starred in notable titles like Cutting Class, Too Young to Die, and Across the Tracks. However, most of the films he had done up to this point were supporting roles. In the 1992 biography A River Runs Through It, Brad’s masterful delivery of the part of Paul Maclean earned him praise and recognition.

Brad has starred in other films such as Thelma & Louise, Johnny Suede, Contact, Cool World, Kalifornia, True Romance, The Favor, Interview with the Vampire, Legends of the Fall, Seven, 12 Monkeys, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Meet Joe Black, The Devil’s Own, Ocean’s Eleven, Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas, Troy, Ocean’s Twelve, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, God Grew Tired Of Us, Year of the Dog, Ocean’s Thirteen, Irresistible, Minari, Ad Astra, The King, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Fury, and The Last Black Man in San Francisco, amongst others. His roles in these films above and more have brought him several accolades, including Academy, Golden Globe, and Primetime Emmy Awards.

Brad’s marriage with Angelina Jolie hit the rocks in 2016, forcing the pair to divorce, which became official in 2019. However, they have lingering issues related to child custody. Recently, Angelina won an appeal to remove the judge handling the case. Both have six children, three of whom were adopted internationally.
